Ballet on Pointe 2D Animation

My Capstone project will consist of me rotoscoping footage of my sister dancing and with the use of after effects I’ll have an animated silhouette of my sister dancing.

0:00 – 00:01: Revelve from a first position on pointe.

00:01 – 00:02: Slowly lower to flat point

00:02 – 00:03: Revelve again from first position onto pointe

0:03 – 04:00: Return to fifth position, flat.

00:04 – 00:06: Back out to first on pointe, returning to fifth position

00:06 – 00:07: Releve in fifth position

00:07 – 00:09: Divet around center point


2D BALLET ANIMATION ON FLATS

00:00 – 00:03: Elegant trot onto stage

00:03 – 00:05: Low develop forward Rise and Lower Full Extension

00:05 – 00:07:Pivot toward bar/wall; completing a 180′ turn develop forward; arm out to second.

00:07 – 00:08: Lower and Transfer of weight

00:09 – 00:12: Derrier Arabesque into full leg extension; arms in fourth position

00:13 – 00:16: Feet join together in fifth; pivot in releve 180′ ; low developed forward with arms in fifth.

00:17 – 00:21: Develop to second and derriere (back)

00:21 – 00:22 : Derriere Arabesque

00:22- 00:24: Directional change with bent leg at knee
